Orangutan And Dog Are Friends

Here’s a great story from DailyMail:

Odd couples come in all shapes and sizes but the story of the primate and the canine who are best friends has proved to be a match made in showbiz heaven.

Suryia the orang-utan and Roscoe a Blue Tick hound became friends when they crossed paths at a South Carolina sanctuary for endangered animals. Now they swim together, play together and Suryia even takes the dog for his walks.

It has some great pictures too, so make sure you check out the article. The picture of them riding Bubbles the elephant with handler Moksha Bybee is classic.

Orangutan Breaks Out Of Enclosure At Adelaide Zoo

137-pound orangutan Karta at the Adelaide Zoo, Australia managed to short an electric fence and scale a concrete wall but decided to return back into the enclosure rather than escape. The zoo keepers were prepared to tranquilize if needed.

Man these guys (and gals) are clever. Don’t mess with them.

Here’s two orangutans at the Pittsburgh zoo. Watch as one pulls a Tarzan like move and knocks the other one off the log. Not sure if that was intentional or not.
