Baby Orangutans just make for the best pictures because of how their hair tends to stand up. This one is no exception.
We know humans and chimps are closely related. But now we know even our laughter is very closely related. Here’s a great article (with pictures of chuckling orangutans, despite the title) about laughter and monkeys.

137-pound orangutan Karta at the Adelaide Zoo, Australia managed to short an electric fence and scale a concrete wall but decided to return back into the enclosure rather than escape. The zoo keepers were prepared to tranquilize if needed.
Man these guys (and gals) are clever. Don’t mess with them.

Here’s two orangutans at the Pittsburgh zoo. Watch as one pulls a Tarzan like move and knocks the other one off the log. Not sure if that was intentional or not.
