Jenny The Gorilla at the Dallas Zoo turned 55 on Thursday. She celebrated her birthday with a four-layer frozen-fruit cake and banana-leaf-wrapped treats.
It’s a pretty special thing since only 4 gorillas in captivity are over 50, and generally in the wild only live 30-35 years [Wikipedia].
