Someone monkeynapped a 0-month-old callimico monkey in Canada a few days ago. The monkey has since been reunited with it’s relatives. Apparently this isn’t that uncommon:
This month, two marmoset monkeys were stolen from a home near Orlando. Both were recovered after a man came forward and told police he’d bought a monkey for $250 from a man selling them off the back of a truck. (So much for humans being the primates with higher intelligence.)
I think it’s time for a monkey AMBER Alert System. Would somebody think of the monkeys!?!
