Palm Oil Consumption Harming Orangutans?

Vicki writes in to point out that Palm Oil, used in many foods because of efforts to remove trans-fats is really proving problematic to orangutans.

Researchers have found that monkeys combine calls to make them meaningful in the same way that humans do. The new study by the University of St Andrews may provide fresh insights into the evolution of human language.
So yes, they do speak in sentences. Now you know.
Western Lowland Gorilla Sunshine Passed Away

Sunshine, the 550-pound western lowland gorilla passed away after a brief illness, the Detroit Zoo announced. A memorial fund is being setup by the Detroit Zoological Society.
